Lightbulb Iphone 4 4.1 Jailbreak Help!

I recently tried to jailbreak my Iphone 4 running on 4.1 firmware with Greenpois0n and everything seemed to be going fine through the installation and it rebooted just fine with the Cydia installer added to my desktop. So, I ran that, and got Cydia added to my desktop (I chose to keep the installer) and then the system auto rebooted. After it had finished restarting I went to check out Cydia. Then, it went and said something about "reorganizing" something or other (it took a while to get done with that). And then, all said and done, I looked and all official stock apps had disappeared: Phone, Contacts, Youtube, Settings (that's a BIG one), etc. Anyway, after that happened I panicked and went and did a system restore through Itunes and got all my data back. Phew, close call. Does anyone have any words that might help me if I try to jailbreak again? Should I try Limera1n?

Backup your phone again before you jailbreak and just try it again. When you have jailbroken give your phone a reboot (holding power and home button till apple logo appears) before you choose to install cydia, then install cydia and again reboot your phone then load cydia up and let it do all its updating it asks for.
Was proberly just abit of a glitch or something first time you tried it but no need to panic, you can't "brick" the iphone jailbreaking just do a restore and your back to square one.

So, you don't think the stock official apps disappearing will be a recurring glitch? Btw when I restored, iTunes downloaded the most recent iPhone update. Of course, 4.1 firmware is the most recent update so that didn't disallow me from restoring, but how can I do a system restore to the non jailbroken 4.1 when, say, 4.2 comes out? Was that what that Tinyumbrella program was for?

Hi.I am sorry this isn't a reply but a new problem. I am posting for the first time, so please forgive me if am doing it in the wrong thread. I have a factory unlocked ( from singapore) iphone 4, running 4.1 and I am using it over a gsm network in India without any problems. I decided to jailbreak it to access third party apps from cydia, using limera1n.I think I botched up the jailbreak process first time, because after the jailbreak was completed , cydia is crashing and bringing me to home screen every time i tap it. I tried to rejailbreak , did reboot but to no avail. Is there a way I can rejailbreak it successfully( i.e. make cydia work) without restoring it via Itunes?? Will restoring and updating it to 4.2 remove the unlock? I haven't saved SHSH for 4.1, so I think there's no going back for me. Can anybody help?

Personally I wouldn`t update to 4.2. Your phone would be tethered after the jailbreak so just do a shift-restore and stick at 4.1.
