    Evolution OS2

    DOWNLOAD LINK: CLICK here!

One of the new and most popular themes on Cydia for Winterboard

    Requirements:

infiniboard, (Look at the attachment how to setup infiniboard !!!)
    iBlank (or use iconoclasm)
    if you want categories.

    installation:

Create a lot of blank icons and place three of your favorite apps to the first page, place safari into the dock. The Safari Icon is different, it MUST be placed in the dock. All app icons are allways the third icon in a row. Fill the space with blank icons.

    3. Do the same on the following three pages called Favorites, Media and Tools.

    4. I recommend to use categories too if you have a lot of apps. You will find various Categories Icons inside the "icons" folder of the theme like "Work", "Games" and "System", "Internet" and so on. The new background for your folder will be autocreated by Evolution OS2. But please take a look at the picture for the right settings of "Categories"

    5. Weather setup:
    a) Open with a mac or PC Browser this webside: Weather forecast, maps, news, alerts, and video on Yahoo! Weather
    b) Search for your hometown, then open "Extended Forecast"
    c) Look a the topbar of the browser an you´ll find a adress like that: "http://weather....USNY0176...."
    d) Now this is for example the location code that you need: USNY0176
    f) Now on iPhone open "/Library/themes/" and then the specific widget folder that you use. For example "EOS2 AnalogClock+Weather". Now open "/Private/WeatherWidget/private/configureMe.js" file with a text Editor ("Editor" for Windows) or freeware "Komodo Edit" for Mac. Override this code "GMX0122" to your location code, save it and copy the file back in it´s folder. You can also directly change the location on your device with "iFile" (Cydia-app).
    g) Update interval: It is set to 30 minutes. Change it in the last line of the "configureme.js"-textfile

This theme was posted quite some time ago, but I just put it on my iPhone 4. I absolutely love it, except no matter what I do the weather will not show up. Just keeps showing Loading and a question mark & in the question mark it says No Data. I put in my location code, so it should work. I've tried respringing my phone several times to no avail. Is anyone else having this problem?

I prefer Evolution OS3. The Author says it isn`t iOS4 compatible just like Evo OS2 but I haven`t had any issues with it. I had the same issue with the weather myself. I fixed it tho but completely forgot how I done it. I`ll try and recreate the error and the fix and post back later.

Thank you! I have Evolution OS3 also. Downloaded it last night. I think I like it better too. What I like is that it's easy to switch between the 2.

I read on another forum that the weather won't work on the iPhone 4 & that you need to download a weather widget, but it sounds like too much work.

So, I decided to download the iWeather Widget & it didn't look to good with Evolution OS3, so I tried it with OS2 & it's not too bad. I guess I can live with it for now. Here's a screenshot.

I think so too. But now I have to go through setting up the theme all over again. I downloaded an update to one of my apps & my phone resprung & then all my icons went awry. They were all hidden behind each other & in the wrong places. It was a mess!! I wonder what happened. Now I get the pleasure of setting this theme up again. I like it so much that I will do it again.

Damn thats unlucky, I know how much of a pain setting up the theme is. But as you say it is really worth it. Have you got sbsettings installed, maybe try doing a respring with that, that usually fixes any of my icon problems
