Thread: Iphone 4 :(Strange Email Issues) mail loading as text message

Few days ago noticed an odd occurrence, My Iphone's email opens but instead of loading normally, it loads as a sms Text message. more over it loads the html code of the email as a text message.

I have deleted and re-installed email accounts. I have un-installed my latest themes and apps Nothing has seemed to work. The next option was to create a custom ispw using SnowBreeze to restore. That didn't work due to the 3184 error. tried updating host file.. nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was having the same problem as you (Getting the body of the emails in html as text messages). Couldn't for the life of me understand what was going on. I would still get the mail (from my gmail account) but it wouldn't load the body. It just kept saying "Loading..." and sometime the mail app would crash.

Ending up finding out it was because of the SMS GV Extension (SMS Google Voice Extension) I had installed through Cydia. Removed/uninstalled it, and now the mail app is working as it is supposed to. Hopefully it works for you, because I signed up just for this site to try to help.
